    We are seeking an Associate Manufacturing Operations Manager for our Paint group within our Springfield Assembly Plant.  PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT OPPORTUNITY; HOURS ARE 3PM TO 11:30.

     

    Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Lead and facilitate monthly safety meetings and lead/assist in the resolution of safety items.
    • Lead Business Team meetings.
    • Responsible for leading and managing the organization and ensuring achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
    • Responsible for interfacing with internal customers and developing operation/business plan.
    • Responsible for achievement of daily production requirements for all customers.
    • Responsible for ensuring timely receipt and shipment of materials from/to suppliers and customers.
    • Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Responsible for cultivating a healthy high performance culture through-out the organization, including both management and hourly paid personnel.

    Position Purpose

    Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and may control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of production/manufacturing experience
    • 1 year lead experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 4 years of production/manufacturing experience
    • 1 year lead experience

    OR

    • At least 8 years of production/manufacturing experience
    • 1 year lead experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
