    Job Description:

    The Manager, Finance for Corporate Development will be responsible of all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and reporting for NAV’s Corp Dev/ M&A group and will manage all analysis related to potential divestitures, acquisitions and strategic investments made by NAV.

    • Provide timely, accurate, fact-based, concise, information and recommendations to assist in decision making
    • Analyze transactions from all relevant financial angles – cash flow, income, balance sheet and tax
    • Work closely with the VP, Corporate Development and the broader M&A team in developing contract structures that allow NAV to meet its financial objectives
    • Develop strong working relationship with internal (operational management, corporate accounting, finance, tax, treasury and law department) and external (bankers, consultants, outside counsel, transaction counterparties) stakeholders to ensure best possible outcomes on proposed transactions
    • Promote continuous improvement in the department’s processes and practices
    • Manage group of 2-3 senior financial analysts

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the control of the budget. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 

     

     

    Basic Requirements:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of finance and budgeting experience
    • At least 3 years of leadership experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 5 years of finance and budgeting experience
    • At least 3 years of leadership experience

    OR

    • At least 10 years of finance and budgeting experience
    • At least 3 years of leadership experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

    • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure to meet deadlines/deliver results
    • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to interact with all level of an organization (both internally and externally)
