    Navistar is a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, defense vehicles and engines and is hiring all levels in Supply Chain / Procurement due to increase in Commercial truck sales and our alliance with Traton Group formally Volkswagen Truck & Bus”


    Supply Chain Project Manager will support the implementation of various strategic Procurement led projects.


    • Lead the cross-functional effort to move parts from Supplier A to Supplier B (includes interfacing with internal plants and external suppliers)
    • Oversee a supplier plant relocation from point A to point B
    • Coordinate the implementation of a design change with a supplier and the Navistar cross-functional team
    • Create and maintain detailed Project Plans to ensure accurate activity definition, activity sequencing, resource planning, and activity duration estimates
    • Mitigate project risks and monitor progress of issue resolution and negotiate solutions, as necessary
    • Support team in development of Finished Vehicle Short and Long-term Strategies and Capabilities
    • Alignment of multi-functional stakeholders through effective and timely communication
    • Create and maintain Dashboards and Reports using Business Intelligence tools
    • Provide Supply Chain performance improvement recommendations related to cost, service, footprint, asset utilization
    • Support/Maintain Finished Vehicle financial budget and subsequent forecasts
    • Tactical operations support as needed


    This role will support one or more of the following functions: material and services sourcing, procurement, supplier management, production planning, transportation, inventory control, distribution, and process reengineering.  




    • Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of related supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
    • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
    • Project Management and Governance
    • Lean Principles and Problem-Solving Tools
    • Broad Business Acumen with preference for Supply Chain experience
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-task responsibilities
    • Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access
    • Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft BI Tools preferred
