    Marketing Manager- Market Segmentation 

     

     

    Responsible for developing and executing Navistar’s go to market strategy for defined market segments. Works with Internal and Dealer Sales Organizations to ensure an understanding of Navistar’s product positioning and selling strategies for their defined market segments/industries to improve Navistar market share in targeted industry segments. Responsible for the development and deployment of selling tools and strategies for their market segments and the development of training materials and sales programs. In coordination with Product Marketing and Brand Communication, the Segment Manager will develop/support all aspects of product launch efforts and brand communication strategies for new product/feature introductions relevant to the segment. Responsible for coordinating International Trucks’ products in industry trade shows and providing vehicle sales training and support to trade show booth personnel.

    Responsible for the execution of all aspects of International Trucks’ segment penetration goals in support of Navistar’s Sales and Marketing Strategy including training, go to market planning and product launch/introductions.

    Directs the development of go-to-market strategies and value propositions for the market segments into which products are sold.  Responsible for directing market presence in these segments through tradeshow and/or conference participation/activities and support/sponsorship of relevant industry events.  Responsible for directing segment specific activities including development of sales training content, sales tools/applications content, and market segment analysis use for dealer development.  Coordinates with other areas of the business, such as Brand and Corporate Communications, to support industry events and communication of value proposition content.  Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of marketing, sales, parts, service operations, product-related, or other relevant experience in the commercial vehicle (or related) industry

    • Including at least 6 years management experience

    OR

    • Master's degree and at least 10 years of marketing, sales, parts, service operations, product-related, or other relevant experience in the commercial vehicle (or related) industry
    • Including at least 6 years management experience

    OR

    • At least 14 years of marketing, sales, parts, service operations, product-related, or other relevant experience in the commercial vehicle (or related) industry
    • Including at least 6 years management experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
