  • Overview

    The Information Security Engineer will be working in a team environment where they can look forward to learning, mentoring and growth.  


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Improve security and incident response across the distributed network
    • Work to protect the company against unknown malware and viruses using Azure Information Protection, AIP
    • Expand skill set of forensic understanding and cyber security
    • Manage and support Active Directory
    • Manage software deployments and migrations 

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Responsible for the planning, design and build of security architectures; oversees the implementation of network and computer security and ensures compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures. Monitors cybersecurity requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices. Performs security assessments of applications and systems using penetration and vulnerability testing and risk analysis. Configures and installs firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Implements software fixes (patches) to remove system vulnerabilities. Responds immediately to cybersecurity-related incidents and provides a thorough post-event analysis. Investigates intrusion incidents and conducts forensic investigations.



    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of Information Security experience


    • Master’s degree and at least 3 years of Information Security experience


    • At least 7 years of Information Security experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

    Desired Skills:

    • Qualified candidates should have 3+ years of experience with Azure AD, Office 365, and AIP
    • Should have an understanding of forensics and hands on experience with networks and databases
    • Working knowledge and experience working with incident response 
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Passion to learn and grow in a team environment
    • Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a great plus
    • Bilingual Spanish speaker is highly desired
