  • Overview

    The Senior Business Development Manager- Extended Service Contracts will be responsible for developing new products; expanding & enhancing existing products; develop new product marketing and sales strategies;  develop internal and customer focused training programs; and delivering targeted margin results. 

     

    Extended Service Contract Sales Experience

      • Automotive or commercial vehicle extended service sales and marketing
    • Action oriented – will be orchestrating and implementing a new business approach for Navistar
    • Solid cross-organizational management skills, influencing and driving change up and down the org chart
    • Sound strategic thinking skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Some experience in training/putting together training programs, would also be helpful.

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities and initiatives. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of business development experience
    • At least 4 years of management experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 8 years of business development experience
    • At least 4 years of management experience

    OR

    • At least 12 years of business development experience
    • At least 4 years of management experience

     

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
