    We are currently seeking a Materials Management Associate to join our team with our Springfield Assembly Plant.  The Materials Associate will provide direction to hourly staff ensuring the proper process is followed in getting materials to the line for production.  The Materials Associate will also seek lean process improvements, rightsizing racks for getting materials to the line and materials management for both new and old stock.  

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules. Expedites parts to remedy shortage problems. Picks up and delivers materials within and outside company and maintains records on material flow. May ensure incoming materials are properly routed. May monitor the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments. 



    Basic Requirements:

    •  Associate’s degree 


    • At least 1 year of supply chain experience

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

    Desired Skills:

    • Prior materials experience within a manufacturing facility
    • Experience directing hourly staff, desired but not a requirement
    • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Excel
