  • Overview

    The Sales Finance Manager - Sales and Pricing Operations will:

    • Lead team of analysts to execute strategies that achieve the corporate financial/profitability goals for US and Canada Truck Sales related to pricing and market share goals:
      • Collaborating with dealers and sales team to meet pricing and volume objectives
      • Communicating and executing sales programs and their impact
    • Understand, manage and direct transactional environment
    • Develop executive summaries and communications for business and program status
    • Awareness of price strategies, competitive information, and the market environment
    • Management of assigned strategic initiatives around business processes, working capital, new operations systems, etc
    • Insure internal controls on pricing and invoicing including revenue recognition

    Acts as liaison to market research team to ensure market analysis data is properly used for quoting prices to customers. Interface with Procurement and Engineering to support purchasing strategies and new product programs. Coordinates field support calls. May track field support and/or sales activities and evaluate cost management effectiveness. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    Position Reports to VP, Central Sales Administration and Pricing who reports to the VP of Finance, Revenue (Paul Martin)

     

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Manages sales and customer account administration as well as the monitoring, planning, and implementation of projects that support order processing activities. Ensures compliance with company revenue recognition policies for booking and shipment of orders. Acts as liaison to market research team to ensure market analysis data is properly used for quoting prices to customers. Coordinates field support calls. May track field support and/or sales activities and evaluate cost management effectiveness. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of sales administration/operations, transactional price administration, or sales financial analysis experience
    • 4 years management experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 8 years of sales administration/operations, transactional price administration, or sales financial analysis experience
    • 4 years management experience

    OR

    • At least 12 years of sales administration/operations, transactional price administration, or sales financial analysis experience
    • 4 years management experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.     Desired Skills:

    • Proven blend of experience with supporting Sales organizations with outstanding financial and analysis expertise
    • Sales and Finance Management Experience in Large Capital Goods industry
