We are seeking a self-motivated, hands-on domain expert in training to join us as Senior Application Analyst.
You will be a contributing member of the Engine IT Manufacturing team interfacing with Global IT teams at Navistar.
The Applications Analyst, designs, develops, tests, debugs, documents and maintains complex programming applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. This position will be taught and led by Application Analyst Leads. They will assist in the definition of system and application designs and translate them from functional business requirements into technical specifications. You will develop application and technology roadmaps, vendor relationships for existing and new software, enhance functionality and uptime of existing legacy applications, with a goal of becoming a subject matter expert in the Engine Manufacturing domain.
The Applications Analyst, devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Remains involved throughout a project’s lifecycle with a team of business analyst, system experts and development teams to ensure that project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business.
Key accountabilities of this challenging and critical role include:
Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas,
including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
