    We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join the Procurement organization.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Performs and reviews day-to-day general accounting activities ensuring compliance with established accounting policies (US GAAP,  internal policies) and procedures
    • Responsible for month end analysis, planning and forecasting of variances related to Material Price Variance
    • Sets and monitors standard material cost for all core manufacturing facilities  
    • Support audit (internal and external) and general documentation requirements
    • Build relationships and partner with other organizations, such as; Procurement Operations, Finance, IAC, Legal, Technical Accounting, IT, etc.
    • Provide support for special projects and ad hoc analyses

     

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Participates in annual audits and special projects. May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 

     

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a Bachelor’s degree and a CPA
    • At least 5 years of accounting experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree in accounting or a Master’s degree and a CPA
    • At least 4 years of accounting experience

     

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.     Desired Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
    • CPA preferred
    • Basic knowledge of company accounting policies, practices, procedures and accounting systems
    • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards
    • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
    • Proficient at Excel
    • Energized by challenges and opportunities
