  • Overview

    The Calibration Engineer, Team Lead serves as a central resource with respect to aftertreatment calibration methodology process, development, testing, and validation of product(s) as they move to production. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including running changes, warranty reduction, and other maintenance of the product or product line.

     

    The Engineer will have experience with the following:

     

    • Previous diesel engine calibration experience
    • Previous work using calibration tools such as INCA
    • Diesel engine development experience – including OBD calibration.
    • Knowledge of diesel aftertreatment hardware such as DOC, DPF and SCR
    • Vehicle performance test & calibration experience
    • Proficiency with Matlab
    • Previous work with controls algorithm development
    • Working knowledge of FMEA & DVP&R processes & documentation

     

    Responsible for job processes both formal and informal, some layout and computer graphics, test requests, basic plotting, basic engineering skills, task oriented.

    May provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members. 

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Provides technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level. Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.

     

    Basic Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
    • At least 5 years experience in product design/development
    • At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

    OR

    • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
    • At least 3 years experience in product design/development
    • At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

    OR

    • PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
    • At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

    Additional Requirements
