    The VP Parts Distribution Operations is responsible for development, implementation and execution of the company's parts inventory and distribution strategy.

     

    • Responsible for cost effective distribution of product from point of manufacture to point of retail sale.
    • Manages aftermarket supply chain operations including the flow of product, documentation, and electronic information.
    • Plans, directs, controls, coordinates and evaluates aftermarket part supply chain management policies in all or several of the following areas: distribution, company and dealer inventory management, warehousing, packaging, and transportation.
    • Works cross-functionally every day with parts sales, product, marketing, customer service and pricing as well as production supply chain, production planning, and procurement on a more limited basis.
    • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Responsible for overseeing product and/or service operations functions in a non-manufacturing environment for a company site(s). Leads site efforts to develop and improve non-manufacturing operations through efficient and effective integrated processes, implementing common management processes/services to leverage organization resources. Directs operations review of cost and service structures, productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve planned targets.  Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 14 years of operations management experience
    • At least 6 years of management experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 12 years of operations management experience
    • At least 6 years of management experience

    OR

    • At least 16 years of operations management experience
    • At least 6 years of management experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
