    Financial/Budget Manager 

    Analysis and reporting of financial and operational data including SG&A, inventory accuracy and productivity performance for the Midwest Parts Distribution Center (PDC).

    Internal controls and management of $115M+ of inventory in support of $500M+ in annual shipments of over 90,000 SKUs.

    Administration for facility of 120+ employees including FMLA, USW Union Contract requirements, payroll, attendance and incentive programs, information technology, facility maintenance and capital projects.

    • Effectively analyze and present operational trends and drivers behind the financial results.
    • Deeply partner with PDC operational management to drive and deliver facility performance against metrics.
    • Lead financial analysis for facility capital investments.

    • Develop, prepare, and control financial and capital plans for the facility.
    • Provide clear and concise analysis describing causes and drivers of variances to financial and capital plans.

    • Lead, motivate, and develop both direct and indirect reports.
    • Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement and a LEAN operating culture.
    • Lead implementation/maintenance of the necessary controls to safeguard the company’s inventory and other assets in accordance with established policies, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, and good business judgment. 

    • Manage PDC administrative functions related to inventory data processing (TOLAS/WMS), accounting (PeopleSoft/Essbase), and record reliability at the lowest possible cost.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
    • Knowledge of warehouse management and accounting systems.
    • Maintain facility’s security and policies, access key assignments, authorize building access, ensure employee safety, and safeguard company assets.

    • Manage procedures and policies applicable to all PDC employees, i.e. employment policies and practices, health and welfare programs liaison, wage and salary compensation, sub plans.
    • Understand and implement financial implications of USW contract and company HR policies.

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the control of the budget. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Master’s degree and at least 4 years of finance and budgeting experience
    • At least 2 years of lead or management experience

    OR

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of finance and budgeting experience
    • At least 2 years of lead or management experience

    OR

    • At least 8 years of finance and budgeting experience
    • At least 2 years of lead or management experience

     

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
