    We are currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team.  This role wil work across Navistar's manufacturing facilities in advance of new product introductions or new manufacturing processes.  This role will be heavily involved with standalone equipment projects, procedure writing, small product changes and small new model launch activities into Manufacturing plants.  This role will be based out of our headquarters in Lisle, IL and will have approximately 25-40% travel.

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. 


    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of product manufacturing experience


    • Master’s degree 


    • At least 4 years of product manufacturing experience

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
