    We are seeking a Lead Controls Engineers who will have responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining equipment standards. Responsibilities include:

     

    • Design control systems for complex automated systems “from the ground up”, including developing panel layouts, power distribution and controls wiring diagrams, PLC programs and HMI programs.
    • Will work closely and should be very familiar with Allen Bradley and Control Logix PLC’s and Allen Bradley Panel View and Panel View Plus HMI’s. 
    • A background in both manufacturing and process controls along with a strong understanding of instrumentation, analog signaling and basic electronics would be very helpful.

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. Oversees the
    installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

     

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
    • At least 1 year of lead experience 

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
    • At least 1 year of lead experience 

    OR

    • At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience
    • At least 1 year of lead experience 

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
