Overview:

 

As a Dealer Development Manager you will improve the dealer distribution channel by developing consistent metrics, reports, analysis of comparative market data, and financial information. You will valuate and document issues and improvement opportunities. It's necessary to communicate dealers’ performance in support and enforcement of the Dealer Sales/Maintenance Agreement. Support assigned Sales Regions in the development of dealer performance improvement actions and business plans.

 

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute consistent metrics and reports for International New Truck/IC Bus Sales, Parts, and Service to drive performance improvement for all International and IC functions and business planning processes.
  • Monitor, assist, and enforce dealer standards for International and IC channels, such as SLA compliance.
  • Assist in the administration of a Dealer Incentive Plan designed to drive dealer behavior and optimize Navistar and dealer profitability.
  • Provide support for dealer performance reviews and monitor action plans and results. Provide feedback and guidance as applicable to dealers and truck sales regions.
  • Train regional personnel and other users in using established performance metrics and participate in development and management of setting dealers’ yearly performance objectives.
  • Develop custom performance and market reports to support and participate in company or market initiatives as needed.
  • Support dealer performance improvement through identification and documentation of best practices as well as identifying performance issues, including review and analysis of financial benchmarking reports and financial statements.
  • Support dealer transitions by ensuring timely and accurate set up of new dealers/locations.
  • Support Navistar’s branding position and initiatives for International and IC Bus dealers regarding signage, facility standards, and condition

Position Purpose and Requirements

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of analytics experience 

OR

  • Master’s degree and at least 3 years of analytics experience

OR

  • At least 7 years of analytics experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
