Role and Responsibilities:


The Sr. Warehouse Associate works at the Midwest Parts Distribution Center (PDC) and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. The Sr. Warehouse Associate works in multiple areas of the distribution center, using lean practices in support of customer focused quality to the PDC’s 600 + dealer locations.  The Sr.  Warehouse Associate is responsible for efficiently coordinating activities in the areas of inventory control, shipping and receiving. 


The Sr. Warehouse Associate will be able to successfully and efficiently manage inventory, and all processes associated with shipping and receiving. The Sr. Warehouse associate will participate in and contribute to lean improvement initiatives, and be responsible for continuously improving processes.  They will be proficient in Navistar’s warehouse management software, as well as other in house information systems. The Sr. Warehouse associate will also be proficient in Microsoft applications, in order to analyze data toward the end of identifying and eliminating waste in distribution processes.

Position Purpose and Requirements

Performs administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods. Communicates and coordinates with transportation companies. Handles routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle. Confirms the accuracy of invoices, bills and charges
relative to the shipment of goods. Logs order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary. Maintains records and generates reports for accounting and other areas.


Basic Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of warehouse, traffic, shipping or clerical experience


  • At least 2 years of warehouse, traffic, shipping or clerical experience


Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
