    OnCommand® Connection Technologies is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navistar, Inc. responsible for innovative connected solutions for the commercial transportation industries and used by commercial fleets as well as independent owner-operators. Our products include Advanced Remote Diagnostics, Over-the-Air Programming and OCC Telematics and Electronic Driver Log (EDL), all based on a philosophy of supporting the customer first with an open-platform, all makes and models ecosystem. The OnCommand® Connection brand and Advanced Remote Diagnostics were first launched in 2014 and lead the industry in the number of connected VINs, currently at 385,000.


    Navistar is hiring a Business Developer to play a unique role in advancing the adoption of OnCommand Connection's integration and sales as a robust well positioned open telematics platform.


    The primary objective of the OnCommand Connection (OCC) is to showcase the product to gain new customers and partners, while expand the product among current users, partners and OEM’s.


    The OCC Business Developer will:

    • Develop working relationships with fleets in the context of using OCC to help solve their business challenges, work with product managers to fill product gaps to maintain OCC’s relevance and position as the product of choice
    • Create significant collaborative relationships while forming new relationships with industry OEM’s and to add integration of adjunct products to make OCC the industry’s most compelling tranporation based telematics solution
    • Advance product adoption by identifying new or enhance App functionally as an outgrowth of industry trends where our partners, customers, and other OEM see OCC as offering the greatest value in the industry

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Oversees operations with multiple functions in a division or business unit. Directs the organization to ensure the attainment of financial and operational goals within the division/business unit in support of the company’s overall financial and strategic objectives. Establishes budgets, short- and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success. Administers the organization’s policies through subordinate managers and directs and coordinates activities of more than one department, such as engineering, operations, information technology, accounting and finance. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the division/business unit.


    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of business operations experience
    • 6 years of management experience


    • Master's degree and at least 10 years of business operations experience
    • 6 years of management experience


    • At least 14 years of business operations experience
    • 6 years of management experience 

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
