This multifaceted Associate Product Manager role is equivalent to being the chief-of-staff for a Senior Product Manager who’s responsible for a significant portion of Navistar’s global aftermarket parts portfolio totaling $2.5B annually. This position is accountable for a variety of product management type responsibilities including product promotions, project management, negotiating, market and customer analysis, supplier meetings and dealer/customer support. This role requires daily interaction and support of Navistar’s regional and national account based sales teams. This opportunity provides cross-functional exposure and the ability to operate as an integral part of a highly motivated and successful team. As an Associate Product Manager, you will truly have the pulse of a critical piece of Navistar’s Parts business and become a trusted adviser to strategic decision makers.
Develops specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
