The Senior Financial Budget Manager will be responsible for financial management and reporting of the Parts distribution network activity within the overall Supply Chain Finance team.  This includes monthly activities such as journal entries approvals & closing oversight/reporting, variance analysis vs. plan/forecast/prior periods, account reconciliation reviews, providing business case evaluation and support to operational partners, developing fiscal budgets for operating plan & forecast updates, as well as financially review proposed expense requisitions and capital appropriations.  

  • Provide timely, accurate, fact-based, concise, risk-assessed, results-oriented information.
  • Use business analysis skills to assist the operational and management team with variance drivers to understand period-end results and where to focus efforts to achieve goals.
  • Develop effective working relationship with operational partners to both support them in meeting their operational targets as well as obtain from them information needed to understand financial impacts and drivers of results.
  • Assist operations in the creation and submission of capital appropriations as well as requisitions.
  • Promote continuous improvement in the department’s processes and practices.
  • Provide support for special projects and ad hoc analyses.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate desk procedures.
  • Manage development and performance for all Parts Distribution Finance Managers and any other direct reports.

Position Purpose and Requirements

Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the control of the budget. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Master’s degree and at least 6 years of finance and budgeting experience
  • At least 1 year of management experience and 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of finance and budgeting experience
  • At least 1 year of management experience and 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of finance and budgeting experience
  • At least 1 year of management experience and 2 years of lead experience

 

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
