The Senior Financial Analyst's responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform detailed financial analysis and build complex financial/deal models
  • Create and present analysis to facilitate and influence decision making processes with both senior management and functional counterparts
  • Proactively identify, analyze and communicate trends and issues affecting the business
  • Take ownership and lead projects while working very effectively and collaboratively across the organization
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining best practice financial tools and processes
  • Leads analysis related to sourcing changes and analyze cost/benefit of entering in long term agreements
  • Contract review & deal analysis to support best supplier source for Navistar
  • Partner with business to identify and achieve cost savings goal

Position Purpose and Requirements

Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, warranties, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of finance experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • Master’s degree and at least 4 years of finance experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 8 years of finance experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
