  • Overview

    The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is responsible for optimizing regional and dealer marketing activity through direct engagements with International Truck Dealers. The RMM will play an integral role in the dealer annual planning process, execution of marketing activities and management of the post-activity follow up process. The RMM will be responsible for facilitating the growth of dealer’s marketing capabilities to drive improved profitability and marketplace awareness for both International and the dealer brand. 

    Position will work with assigned regional sales team, vehicle center marketing teams, agency resources and dealer clients to execute region and dealer specific marketing solutions to effect common goals and objectives.


    Specifically, the RMM will: 

    • Become the marketing expert for your regions and dealers, providing consultative input and recommendations to each dealer on brand positioning, digital marketing best practices, resources and tool availability.
    • Work with Regional Vice Presidents to develop regional specific marketing plans and programs utilizing allocated marketing budget to achieve annual sales goals.
    • Conduct ongoing management of dealer marketing plans throughout the year in accordance with the Marketing Performance Index’s key metrics, from digital marketing to market management.
    • Act as a support arm for the regional field teams in achieving their business plan goals.
    • Understand and support all product and customer solution offerings available to International dealers and customers.
    • Improve channel growth by utilizing corporate marketing initiatives and leveraging them to a region, dealer and customer level.
    • Become the trusted liaison between corporate marketing, the field personnel and dealers, forging a partnership and line of communication. 

    This position is located in Lisle, IL with travel in the Southwest and West Regions, including the following states: TX, AZ, CA and surrounding states. 

    Position Purpose and Requirements

    Evaluates business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives. Works closely with product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers. Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities. Responsible for developing project plans
    designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share. [NOTE:  This position is both strategic and technical in nature and requires
    extensive industry experience.]


    Basic Requirements:

    • Master's degree
    • At least 2 years of marketing experience


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 5 years of marketing experience


    • At least 7 years of marketing experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.     Desired Skills:

    • Knowledge of market analysis and digital marketing strategy development techniques
    • Product knowledge or aptitude to learn vehicle product attributes

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a self-starter mentality
    • Knowledge of transportation industry or channel marketing is a plus
