We are currently seekin a Manager, Corporate Development / Mergers & Acquisitions.  This position is responsible for managing projects in support of Corporate Development activities, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures/partnerships and Alliance agreements. Key activities include leading/supporting cross functional teams and due diligence efforts, negotiating/analyzing deal terms, supporting the development of definitive legal agreements, and preparing recommendations and presentations for executive management. 

Position Purpose and Requirements

Oversees the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing
programs to support sales in designated market segments; identifies volume and
strategic customers; and develops partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations. May conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective.'

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of business development, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience


OR

  • Master's degree and at least 8 years of business development, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience


OR

  • At least 14 years of business development, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

 

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills:

 

  • MBA, CPA or CFA
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and/or joint ventures/partnerships
  • Prior negotiating experience
  • Conflict management skills
  • Financial analysis skills, including cash flow analysis
  • Familiarity with company policies, business units, product lines, and manufacturing/facility locations
