We are currently seeking a Sr. Payroll Processor to join our payroll team at our corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL.  

Position Purpose and Requirements

Ensures accurate, timely and efficient payroll processing and data transmission while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring security of payroll data. Ensures data transmission files are processed timely in accordance with pre-determined schedules.  Processes employee information and maintains employee records in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).  Prepares statistical summaries and reports involving payroll information, and other employee data.  Enters data from a source document into the system, verifies the entries for accuracy and completeness.  May convert data from one electronic system to another.  Performs audits of own work or that of others to ensure conformance with established procedures.  Participate in system testing relative to People Soft Tax Updates, process enhancements and ensure results are validated and qualified before moving updates and changes to production. 


Basic Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of payroll processing experience


  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification or Certified Payroll Professional preferred
