We are seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales, International Trucks – Central Region who will oversee regional sales activity and growth for International® brand commercial trucks, products and services through our distribution channel to end users in the marketplace.

General responsibilities of the Regional Vice President of Sales – Central Region

  • As part of the leadership team, help develop overall sales strategy and drive tactical planning and execution within the Central Region.
  • Work closely with International’s dealer network to grow sales and increase market share across all truck segments.
  • Be an entrepreneurial leader of a sales team which enhances key customer partnerships, identifies new business opportunities; extracting higher value and gaining market share.
  • Mentor sales and sales administration teams to act on Navistar’s vision and strategy.
  • Provide superior support to our dealer network working cross functionally with Navistar Corporate resources to help them exceed market sales targets.
  • Work closely with peers to develop growth initiatives for products and services

Position Purpose and Requirements

Responsible for attaining sales objectives on a district/regional basis. Responsible for larger or more complex sales deals. Develops plans and participates in strategic and tactical planning. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 14 years of sales experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience

OR

  • At least 16 years of sales experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills:

  • Prior Class 4-8 truck industry experience at senior leadership level.
  • Sales and Marketing experience
  • Demonstrated track record in Sales and Marketing
  • P&L accountability and demonstrated success in this environment
  • Understanding of the customer's business
  • Understanding of how the dealer channel operate
  • Ability to work cross-functional to achieve desired results
