The New Truck Sales Manager is responsible for implementing appropriate business sales strategies in assigned dealer markets to ensure maximum customer interface, market growth, and profitability for Navistar and International dealer channels.

  • Provide leadership by demonstrating excellent sales capabilities, expert sales tactics, and customer relationship management
  • Provide ongoing support to retain customer accounts and plans to aggressively acquire new customer conquest accounts
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals to include value added Truck, Parts, Service, and Finance programs
  • Provide leadership to dealer sales organization in developing strategic account level business relationships and ensure personnel has access to and successfully completes all required product training
  • Ensure dealer personnel are qualified and proficient in sales related competencies and capabilities to serve their market, refine and customize the corporate business and vehicle center strategy to the local level
  • Develop, with the dealer, their Diamond Standard Plan. Implement initiatives of plan to ensure sales plan exceeds International corporate business Plan and vehicle center strategies
  • Annually present overall dealer market summary and sales strategy
  • Provide all relevant information to Central Sales Administration (CSA) for complete understanding of key deals to ensure maximum probability of success

We offer a base salary plus a sales incentive program and a company car.

Position Purpose and Requirements

Sales leadership responsible for selling the company’s products or services, sales results, executing the organization’s sales plan in order to grow businesses and margins by developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics, as well as developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts.  Performs as a resource with high level knowledge of company products and services and introduces new products.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of sales experience

OR

  • Master’s degree and at least 3 years of sales experience

OR

  • At least 7 years of sales experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
