The Aerodynamics Engineering Lead is responsible for initiating and delivering industry leading research and product development in commercial vehicle aerodynamics and thermal engineering.
The Aerodynamics Engineering Lead will be responsible for aerodynamic tool development, execution and correlation including wind tunnel, on-road (coast down, constant speed), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results. Working under the direction of the Aerodynamics Chief Engineer and close interaction with Fuel Economy, CFD simulation and Body/Industrial Design staff.
The Aerodynamics Engineering Lead will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:
Oversees overall support functions for Product Development Engineering. Responsible for leading the processes, problem solving and implementing solutions to the complex and high risk engineering issues. Influences technical and regulatory standards bodies. Provides proactive strategy around identified opportunities. Serves as a critical asset in helping senior management articulate financial and technical strategy. Serves as a critical asset in helping Corporation influence the engineering strategy of key partners.
