We are seeking a Director of Truck, Parts & Global Segments Accounting.  This position supports Navistar’s overall compliance with U.S. GAAP.   Major responsibilities include:

  • Directs and oversees business and operational accounting within the company’s segments (Truck, Parts, & Global)
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners to proactively identify future business risks and opportunities
  • Directs and oversees accounting teams within each of the company’s segments (Truck, Parts & Global)
  • Manages and provides guidance on areas impacting our segments including, but not limited to, revenue, inventory, receivables, fixed assets, intangible assets, liability reserves, acquisitions and divestitures
  • Oversees the monthly, quarterly and annual close process
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement analytics
  • Manages overall department budgets
  • Preparation and review of technical accounting position papers supporting complex and/or unusual transactions
  • Supports broader accounting organization with the rollout of new accounting standards – for example - revenue recognition and leasing
  • Completing special projects and performing other duties as assigned
  • Working with internal and external auditors

Position Purpose and Requirements

Coordinates, administers, and controls financial operations. Provides tax, insurance and other reports required by governmental regulations. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports. Directs all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. Oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 14 years of accounting or finance experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience


  • Master’s degree and at least 12 years of accounting or finance experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience


  • At least 16 years of accounting or finance experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience 

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
